More than just a place to spend the night, the Glacier View Log Cabin is a one-of-a-kind Alaskan experience. Sit back and take-in this historic cabin's highly-scenic, glacier and mountain views (you won't be able to get enough!) Tend the fire, and prepare all of your favorite foods in the cabin's fully-stocked kitchen. A covered outdoor grill ensures grilling is fun and easy, no matter what the weather is doing.
The Glacier View Log Cabin is the place to bring family and friends for a memorable night, a weekend get-together, or any small celebration, any time of year. It's a spacious cabin with an open floor plan that leaves plenty of room for everyone to spread out! You'll have room to relax, and space to play outside, too. What's more, you get your own private view of the Matanuska Glacier from inside the cabin, or from the cabin's unique deck.
This cabin is an interesting and private place to stay when you are traveling the Glenn Highway between Palmer and Glennallen. It's a hand-built cabin, constructed in 1973, and perched on a hill overlooking the Matanuska glacier. There are French-Alpine dairy goats living on the property. Pets are allowed -maximum 2

The cabin has a wood-burning stove. There is free firewood and kindling here for your use.
Accommodates up to 6 overnight guests comfortably. The cabin has an indoor bathroom with hot and cold running water, 3 queen size beds, one single bed, 6 dining room chairs, and 6 place settings. All towels and linens are provided, just bring your own food to prepare!
The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator and a stove, oven, coffee pot, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, utensils, pans, dishes, dishtowels, etc.
If you don't feel like cooking, you can dine at our local lodge nearby. The Long Rifle Lodge Restaurant is just across the road, and open daily, year-round, from 8 am to 7 pm.
The cabin is close to guided glacier hiking and ice climbing tours, summer river rafting tours, and great trails for hiking, ATVing, and skiing.
